Pneumatic Manipulator for Automotive Industry

An automotive assembler was looking for a manipulator for their new SUV assembly line. The purpose was to install the instrument panel weighing 60 kg in their vehicle. We proposed to them our pneumatic manipulator customized for their specific requirements. The manipulator had a range of motions according to all combinations of pick and place locations catering to moving vehicles on the assembly conveyor. The pneumatic manipulator had degrees of freedom namely trolley, shoulder, elbow, vertical, and wrist. The wrist, which incorporated pick & place tooling had an infinite range of rotation for ease of pick & place orientation. The manipulator had been successfully installed and commissioned and actively deployed for the installation of the instrument panels in their SUVs.
